Joy Braunstein

It has been Joy’s honor to serve the nonprofit sector in multiple capacities for over 20 years. She holds dual master’s degrees in Environmental Law and Public Administration, and she has completed extensive PhD-level work in International Development. She has also taught higher education courses on NGOs, public policy, environmental law, and the Holocaust and human rights.

Joy’s commitment to academic and civic engagement have led to her being named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Mecklenburg County (NC) and receiving a US Department of State-funded Boren Fellowship to study Transboundary Water Relationships in the Middle East. She is also a published author and accomplished conference presenter.

She has run the Western PA Humane Society and the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, and she currently serves as a Certified Nonprofit Consultant at Development Systems International and as Executive Director of Conventions and Vice President of Partner Services at the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives.

Jody Rosenberg

Jody Rosenberg received her JD from the University of Pennsylvania. Her expertises include small business and nonprofit formation and counseling, bookkeeping and tax services, and basic estate planning.

She has a strong background in government and administrative law, tax increment financing, and counseling services for citizens' groups.

Aviva Rosenberg

Aviva Rosenberg is the President of Rosenberg Health Law with a focus on healthcare delivery. She is an Adjunct Professor of Health Law at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her formal education from Northwestern University School of Law and Brandeis University. She sits on the Board of numerous nonprofit organizations in the Pittsburgh area.

Samantha Swartz

Samantha Swartz has worked as a nonprofit professional for over 20 years. She touts significant experience in fund and program development/management. She has also worked extensively in youth education in Southwestern PA.

Kate Porigow

Kate Porigow has been working with nonprofits for almost a decade, currently as the volunteer director at and previously as a program director at Reading Is Fundamental Pittsburgh. Kate’s interest in global issues began as a student on Semester at Sea in college, which led her to teach English in Asia for three years. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Kate is also an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Vegan Pittsburgh, and local community projects.

Rob Rogers

Rob Rogers is a business and nonprofit professional with over 20 years of experience in senior and executive level nonprofit management, including specific experience directing core business and operational disciplines. His strengths include financial management, budgeting and forecasting, human resource administration, risk management, systems automation, and technology implementation.

He has served as CFO and CEO of several arts, health, and social service nonprofits in the Delaware area, and he currently works at Children & Families First and Supporting Kids.

Ashley Green

Ashley Green has a strong academic background in health disparities and health equity around the globe, along with prevention strategies for improved health outcomes. She possesses over eight years of professional experience, with three years of project and case management, and several years of teaching and facilitation.

She has worked with several nonprofit health organizations, including the American Heart Association, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Drowning Prevention Foundation, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Frank Catalfumo, MPH

Frank Catalfumo is a public health professional who has worked with the United States Centers for Disease Control and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He was critical in analyzing the effects of the US intervention in the Ebola Crisis in West Africa.

He received his MPH from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Jeffrey Hamidi

Jeffrey Hamidi is an Information Technology leader and visionary who has served as an IT department head. Jeffrey has worked in non-profit organizations for over 12 years and holds an MS, Leadership in Information Technology from Duquesne University.

Jeffrey serves as an IT Manager for HM Health Solutions, an IT services provider within the Highmark Health family of companies.

Elizabeth Singer Hunt

Elizabeth Singer Hunt is an award-winning author of children's books focused on educating children about world geography and culture. She is most notably known for her 'Secret Agent Jack Stalwart' chapter book series. Elizabeth received an MA in Southeast Asian Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (London) and has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. She also holds a BSC in both Marketing and Economics from Boston College.

Dawn Gallagher

Dawn Gallagher is a best-selling author, brand ambassador, and humanitarian. Her highly successful career in the fashion and beauty business has enabled her to travel extensively throughout the world. Through her travels as a fashion model, television host, spokesperson and author, Dawn gained tremendous insight into the secrets and well-being of women from around the world and incorporated them into her New York Times bestselling books, Naturally Beautiful, and her most recent second book, Nature’s Beauty Secrets. Throughout her career, Dawn has appeared on the cover of hundreds of magazines, including Vogue, Italian Bazaar and Cosmopolitan, and has appeared in numerous campaigns for fashion and cosmetics including Maybelline, Clarins, Ralph Lauren and Clairol. Dawn believes in using the fashion industry to help others who are less fortunate and marginalized.

Dawn is a regular guest, beauty/spa expert on QVC. She has been featured in countless magazines, newspapers, radio, commercials and television shows discussing her views on fashion and beauty. Credits include segments on Good Morning America, The Today Show and Martha Stewart. Recently, The New York Times interviewed Dawn about her philosophy on health and beauty. Dawn hosts a weekly show on Bidchat and played a feature role on the powerful award-winning documentary Beauty Mark where she was interviewed for her insight on beauty and healthy self-esteem. Dawn has a certification in Aromatherapy and Holistic healing.

International Advisory Council

Ung Chanrattana

Ung Chanrattana is the onsite director of Eco-Soap Bank's Cambodia headquarters in Siem Reap, Cambodia. He manages local staff and oversees the collection, production, and distribution of soap. He is the founder and executive director of Trailblazers Cambodia Organization, which implements WASH programs in targeted rural areas. He previously worked for non-profit NGOs including Banteay Srei Conservation Projects and School Construction Project.

He earned a bachelor's degree in Fishery Science at the Royal University of Agriculture in 2002 and an MBA from Build Bright University in Siem Reap.

Chiek Chansamphors

Chiek Chansamphors serves as the Chief Investment Officer of the Cambodian company Daun Penh Cambodia Group. He currently serves as a board member of WaterSHED Cambodia, which aims to promote hygiene and sanitation, and has been integral in the implementation of the Labobo social enterprise. He is a part-time lecturer and holds a master’s degree in economics (Japan).
